  • Drive the marketing direction for Sun Peaks Resort LLP through strategic development and tactical execution of key objectives
  • Help guide strategy and integration between marketing and communication tactics to best achieve the business goals of the organization
  • Marketing oversight for all key business units, including ski, bike, hike, golf, food and beverage, rental and retail, sports school, accommodation, and events
  • Develop and manage all paid media activity through planning, budgeting, negotiation, execution, and evaluation efforts
  • Oversee database and email marketing strategy and execution
  • Oversee content development strategy and execution
  • Oversee e-commerce strategy, platform, and execution
  • Oversee web development and ongoing management
  • Oversee creative and brand development functions
  • Oversee key metric and analytics elements in the marketing space
  • Oversee all marketing services functions throughout the organization
  • Partner relations and engagement throughout the organization, the community, and the industry
  • Lead vendor and third-party relationships, negotiations, and contracts
  • Support all key communication and social media tactics through various shared efforts
  • Work throughout the organization with multiple departments/business units
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy as a crucial part of the leadership team
  • Financial and personnel management responsibilities throughout the marketing team and function
  • Contribute to external community engagement strategy
  • Assist with the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required to ensure successful operation of the departments and the organization as a whole
  • Operate according to the code of conduct and values statement of Sun Peaks Resort LLP
  • Attend all Sun Peaks Resort LLP sponsored scheduled orientation and training programs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum five years of experience in a similar or related role
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, commerce, or related field
  • Management and supervisory experience are essential with overall solid business acumen
  • Direct and detailed operational experience with varied marketing efforts
  • Results oriented with a background in metric monitoring and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Effective leader, issue manager, and decision maker
  • Relationship management background with industry stakeholders and partners
  • Thrive in a team environment and embrace collaboration across varied platforms
  • Knowledge of mountain resort products and the current competitive environment
  • A passion for outdoor recreation: ski, snowboard, bike, and golf are all considered assets
  • Strong computer literacy required
  • Valid driver's license
