We are seeking an energetic and driven human to increase AFLE's audience size, engagement, and subscriber growth. Core Responsibilities:

Audience Development

  • Attract the right audience, at the right time and create meaningful feedback systems to continuously improve the content for our audience and keep them coming back
  • Oversee and develop an audience growth strategy across all digital platforms and channels
  • Understand the content that our audience wants, how they want to find it and help that information to be integrated into every level of content creation throughout all channels
  • Maintain a strong awareness of industry trends, digital publishing, YouTube, Twitch and intimate knowledge of what works and doesn't work for our competition
  • Use analytical tools to measure effectiveness of audience growth strategies, identify trends for development teams, and make recommendations for targeting and engaging in both the short and long term
  • Facilitate focus groups and audience development events for the purposes of feedback gathering, networking, and future partnership opportunities
  • Analyze the organizations target audience, checking preferences and developing marketing best practices

Marketing Strategy

  • Lead the marketing and social media strategy for each channel and content release
  • Cultivate and manage collaboration opportunities with third parties while negotiating in good faith, seeking win-win outcomes for all parties involved
  • In partnership with the Senior Team, create meaningful marketing strategies and keep stakeholders informed of progress along the way
  • Closely work with Senior Management, Channel Runners, and Segment Producers to support marketing activities tied to launches of new content
  • Analyze the organizations target audience, checking preferences and developing marketing best practices
  • Provide guidance and direction on video marketing materials such as thumbnails, metadata, cover art and logos
  • Oversee community engagement strategy including oversight of social media and web development
  • Lead meetings with various stakeholder and marketing teams to support the planning of content and ROI presentations

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of relevant organic marketing experience with working knowledge of open-source content management systems, search engines and related software tools
  • Exceptional working knowledge of social media platforms and content marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to drive audience acquisition and engagement
  • Strong leadership, influence, and coaching skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Premiere)
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in interactive media, journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience with strong skills in strategic, preferred
  • Familiarity with D&D, RPG tabletop and video games, sketch comedy, cinematography, and pop culture, preferred
