Inside Sales & Technical Support

Inside Sales representative receives (by telephone, fax or email) requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Makes quotations on standard items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and provide service to customers. Performs other related duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interaction with customers to sell and promote automation solutions
  • Work directly with and support Outside Sales staff
  • Quotations & quote follow-up
  • Inventory Management
  • Enter SPA contract into operating system
  • Promotions of products offered by Proax
  • Continuous training on products offered
  • Expediting of orders and follow up with customers
  • Checks with credit department concerning credit status of customer when rush orders are received
  • Shipping and receiving when necessary
  • Understand customer segmentation, product balance, key customer relationships, market shares and general trends in the economic environment

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in Inside Sales with a demonstrated ability to deal with customers
  • Excellent communication (oral & written), interpersonal, organization and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with various levels of Proax from sales reps to senior management
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and well organized

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technology Diploma
  • Entry level Marketing Skills an asset
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office software i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook with five years of experience
