Teatro Group is recruiting for the role of Social Media & Marketing Manager. The Social Media & Marketing Manager is involved in all aspects of the content and creates and implements the Teatro Group's social media-based communication strategies for a group of 7 food and beverage concepts in Calgary, Alberta. The Social Media and Marketing Manager will be responsible for promoting and protecting the company's reputation by developing and executing media and public relations strategies that align with Teatro Group's standards.

Job Duties

  • Creates and manages marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules.
  • Proficient in content creation through digital assets and photography.
  • Oversees campaign execution from conception through to completion.
  • Grows and expands the company's social media presence.
  • Builds relationships with key media contacts and identifies opportunities to proactively pitch Teatro Group.
  • Creates and distributes engaging written and graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web pages and blog content, or social media messages.
  • Liaise with external contractors, stakeholders, and key partners in support of more significant brand strategies/projects/initiatives.
  • Obtains approval of concept by a presentation of marketing initiatives to directors.
  • Set up displays, arranging products & packages, creating product marketing plans, analyzing consumer trends & assisting in purchasing.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of social media campaigns and communicate results.
  • Provide training and guidance to social media and marketing team members on best practices and strategies for social media implementation.
  • Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, product development, and brand management.
  • Develops and manages internal/external corporate and local community events.
  • Creates and promotes brand initiatives along with business goals and objectives.
  • Develops and expands relationships with influencers and other outreach efforts.
  • Responsible for monitoring, listening and responding to reviews on OpenTable, Google, Yelp, etc.
  • Building corporate relationships with other local businesses (Hotel Referral Program, Catering Events, etc.)
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Provides market research supporting any suggestions for new marketing and/or communications initiatives.
  • Determine target markets and their various characteristics, aiming to broaden the appeal of Teatro Group's marketing brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Sales, or Communications or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications and/or marketing experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of communication principles and practices.
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry, strong knowledge of operations and practices.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities.
  • Experience in copy & content creation, as well as photography.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, the internet, media monitoring software, and other public relations tools.
  • Must have the ability to be an influential communications consultant within the organization.
  • Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality, with a high level of accuracy regarding information.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working effectively with all levels of employees is critical.
  • Ability to fulfill all Teatro Group's restaurants' marketing demands simultaneously.
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and management.
  • Experience in creating and executing successful e-mail marketing, digital marketing, and in-property marketing programs.
  • Experience with graphic design, web pages, and other marketing-related software tools.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

Working Conditions

  • Flexible work schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Ability to be on standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work at TG restaurants and maintain productivity.
  • Own vehicle & valid driver's license preferred.
  • Overtime as required.
