The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the BioSteel Ready to Drink sales across a specified geography in Canada. The Regional Sales Manager will be accountable for overall sales organization performance within their region, the profitable achievement of sales targets, and for aligning sales objectives with the Biosteel RTD overall business strategy. Executing the regional business strategy will be a key priority for this entrepreneurial leader who exhibits passion for winning, and a track record for delivering exceptional results. This role will report to the Head of Commercial Development - BioSteel.
Execute the Regional Sales Team's objectives for the BioSteel Ready to Drink business and ensure sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting is consistent with BioSteel's ambition to be a top of mind focus for retailers and distributors.
Create brand and consumer awareness through market specific opportunities
Manage Key accounts and distributor branches within the states assigned. Build relationships with the key stake holders to create sales growth and customer education
Oversee business development within the assigned states to asses all opportunities and create a strategic sales strategy
Assess distributor and customer performance & provide recommendations to accelerate sales
Conduct route rides with distributor personnel
Manage all aspects of the distributor relationships within the territory to include, distributor reviews and planning meetings, kick off meetings, market blitz development, incentive planning, and supply chain management
Achieve revenue, market share and profit objectives as well as other key financial metrics and sales specific performance indicators
Responsible for managing and delegating specific KPIs to the Market Managers and ensuring the managers have all the appropriate tools necessary to achieve their KPIs in regard to:
Volume and Share targets
Distribution - according to assigned core assortments
Merchandising of products
Price accuracy and communication guidelines
Ensuring Product quality standards are met
Ensure call frequency requirements
Ensuring that BioSteel Ready to Drink brands are represented in line with brand and merchandising guidelines
Accountable for establishing and delivering against sales budgets across salaries & benefits, travel & expenses, and trade spend
Work in coordination with the Marketing team and effectively execute marketing programs, strategies and events for all customer and distributors
Create geographical locations for the managers for effective route management
Implement a healthy sales culture that reflects BioSteel ideologies and goals
An insatiable curiosity of what makes customers tick and the ability to turn that curiosity into sales opportunities to drive BioSteel and our customers business
Proven track record in team management with the positive results versus KPIs
Clean drivers abstract required
A technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working with Microsoft office (Excel and PowerPoint) in a data driven environment
Experience in non-alc beverage or relatable industries an asset
5+ years experience in Sales, Team Management, Brand Management and distributor management
Proven track record of working remotely and independently
Other duties as assigned
This is a full-time remote-first position based out of Alberta.
