Top Hat is revolutionizing the higher education space, by using technology to make education more affordable, accessible, and engaging. We're succeeding in a challenging economy, and we're forecast to hit our company plan this year. To assist with this goal, we're looking for a collaborative Sales Manager to coach, lead and mentor an existing team of 10 Account Executives. You'll work in our Austin sales hub alongside talented sales leaders who've done it all before: Joe Rohrlich, Matt Schurk, and Claire Niburski.

The Role:

  • You'll lead 10 full-cycle Account Executives, and continue to mold them into a championship sales team
  • You will coach your Account Executives to devise campaign strategies, plans for field sales trips, territory strategies, and day-to-day tactics
  • You'll know your numbers and pipeline, coaching reps to move the needle on key metrics (demos booked/run, deal velocity, demo to close ratio etc)
  • You will be a master of your team's daily and weekly sales processes (e.g., morning meetings, team activity compliance, weekly check-ins with your reps, pipeline management and reporting)
  • You will be responsible for hiring, coaching, promoting and performance managing your team
  • You will partner with other departments (marketing, customer success, etc) to close deals
  • You'll travel to client sites roughly 30-40% of the time to assist with high value deals
  • You'll work with amazing people who will invest in growing your sales management career

About you :

  • You're collaborative, competitive, a fast learner, and like achieving shared goals with your team
  • You have a university degree and 3-5 years sales experience, with 2+ years in a management capacity
  • You've managed >5 reps before who have overachieved their goals
  • You're an expert with Salesforce and sales dashboards, looking through data to find hidden meaning
  • You are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks for a team of reps
  • You are highly driven, enthusiastic, and excited to join a team that is transforming higher education
