You will be working with a talented and passionate team on BMC award winning BMC Helix Digital Workplace product - an intuitive and intelligent consumer-like experience to help organizations step into the future of work.

You will be working closely with product owners and R&D engineers to understand requirements and implement the required functionality. You will understand the acceptance criteria and ensure top quality of your output, including meeting the functional and non-functional quality goals, unit test coverage and when applicable automated test coverage.

In addition to new feature development, you will participate in troubleshooting and resolving real customer issues. You will have plenty of opportunity to influence the technical design of the area of your responsibility.

You will be expected to work in partnership with your scrum master and technical leads in a highly collaborative software development environment.

Required Skills:

This position is ideal for a software engineer with some experience developing enterprise solutions and having the following qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in software product development

  • 3+ years of recent working experience in backend development using Java
  • Recent working experience in building REST API
  • Solid knowledge of web application development
  • Strong collaborative spirit
  • Good communication skills

Nice to have experience:

  • SQL knowledge
  • Building SaaS applications
  • Building cloud and on-premise applications
  • Following Agile and waterfall methodology
  • Following best practices of software development
  • Developing or working with CI/CD processes
  • Using Angular
  • Can work in BMC Vancouver Office
