Status: Regular Full Time

Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto (hybrid model, with occasional travel within North America, as needed)

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for selling HarperCollins and Harlequin titles to the Canadian Gift markets, and non-traditional markets including corporations, subscription box programs and author orders/events.

Responsibilities :

Manage Gift Market accounts:

  • Process Gift account orders
  • Organize for the Bi-Annual Toronto Gift Fair
  • Acquire new accounts

Process non-traditional orders:

  • Corporate sales
  • Event sales
  • Author sales
  • Subscription Boxes

Code new accounts for the Sales Department:

  • Code new delivery accounts end of each month
  • Update any account changes

Hire and Supervise Sales Interns:

  • Manage their workload
  • Train them on internal programs and applications
  • Assign them projects and tasks

Qualifications:

Specific training or job experience required includes:

  • 1-2 years of relevant sales experience
  • High degree of written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and remain cool under pressure
  • Able to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including strong knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Book publishing courses or certificate an asset
  • Driver's License an asset
