As the Marketing Lead you are an integral part of our Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Director, Marketing. You take responsibility for developing the overall marketing strategy that drives demand, profitability, brand awareness, and market growth. You are someone who can develop audience and market insights, lead content and channel engagement, manage product marketing and launch, and coordinate with the Sales team to generate, convert, and nurture leads. You also have a keen interest or experience in mentoring junior marketing team members. A key component of this role is working closely with the Director, Marketing to develop a marketing strategy that will be executed using both internal and external resources and maintaining interpersonal relationships both internally and externally.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and execute marketing strategies and plans to support business goals
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and audience preferences to support campaign creation. Report on and adjust strategy as required based on market insights, trends, and competitors
  • Direct content, web, and social media strategy to drive audience engagement. Content marketing strategy will require working with external resources to create and promote written content, webinars, whitepapers, eBooks, etc. to showcase thought leadership and generate leads
  • Develop and maintain digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic to the site and achieve campaign objectives. Track and measure marketing outcomes including engagement activities, leads, sales, retention, return on investment and report to executive management on effectiveness
  • Build and execute go-to-market plans for new and existing products, report on performance, and pivot to optimize results. Foster relationships with external agencies, balancing priorities by coordinating internal and external resources
  • Ensure brand alignment to increase awareness and enhance reputation. Develop business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects, and marketing plans
  • Ensure internal teams are coordinated given various marketing and sales initiatives leveraging and improving on our internal marketing calendar
  • Collaborate with communications, creative specialists, and sales, providing clear direction when leading projects and contributing appropriately when supporting projects or providing cross-team coverage
  • Provide guidance to junior team members as required, oversee their work, and develop rigour in marketing practices and process

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Strategist, or similar role, for 7+ years
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent is an asset
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, communications, creative and sales teams, as well as external agencies
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and sales, ensuring clear communication, diplomacy, and excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in B2C and B2B product marketing. Will work with sales teams, supporting funnel activities from lead generation to nurture, targeting buyer personas, and optimizing marketing activities to deliver high-quality leads
  • Demonstrated experience leading marketing campaigns, integrating web and social channels (paid and organic). Will require a solid understanding of content marketing principles, strategies, and promotion
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills as responsibilities. Will require management of multiple projects and priorities
  • Creative thinker with data-driven analytical aptitude. Experience working in the US will be an asset given our growth strategy
  • Familiarity with HubSpot (or similar CRM) for marketing automation, optimization, and reporting
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems and experience with SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
