Responsibilities

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist is a critical thinker working in a fast paced, continually changing environment. This role will lead in the creation, execution, and strategic planning of paid search, social media campaigns and manage re targeting efforts, display ads and other media efforts.

Job Duties

Strategic Digital Marketing

In conjunction with Brand, Design Manager and Senior Digital Design Specialist, the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist will work on client-driven initiatives, assess needs, brainstorm and produce online marketing campaigns, across multiple platforms.

Activities:

1. Contributes to the development of core/key messages and overall campaign look/feel.

2. Works closely with Sr. Digital Design Specialist to ensure core messages and brand equity elements are delivered across all digital tactics consistently and effectively.

3. Responsible for the development of creative digital briefs and campaign media briefs.

4. Responsible for the implementation and project management of digital media strategies.

5. Ensures media plan meets objectives and KPIs.

6. Collaborates with Marketing Analyst/Web Administrator and Front End developer to execute Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives including keyword research, content recommendations and website optimization recommendations.

Digital Marketing Lead

Digital marketer with strong understanding of the customer digital journey from all levels of marketing campaigns to landing page and application.

Activities:

1. Data driven marketer fluent in analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

2. Proven ability to identify patterns and trends and collaborates with Marketing Analyst to derive actionable insights.

3. Recognized for your ability to bring forward new ideas, challenge established thinking, and be ready to execute and adapt plans to changing business needs.

4. Demonstrates superior communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities with a proven ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages.

5. Known for your ability to work closely and across cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and execute on projects and priorities.

Project Management

A significant challenge in this position is working to achieve college goals, enrolment targets and multiple program-specific client requests. Marketing, Communications and Web Services at Lethbridge College serves over 50 unique departments or areas with over 60 programs. A high level of creativity and efficiency is required in this position to support the frequency and complexity of projects. This includes working to decide where to put resources amongst a seemingly never-ending list of requests.

Required Qualifications
  • University Undergraduate Degree (Bachelor of Management - Marketing or Bachelor Fine Arts - English)
  • Two-year Diploma - Business Administration with a marketing focus plus years of marketing industry experience may be considered.
