Who we are looking for:

We are looking for another person to add to our A-Team! You will delve into the world of beauty and business, so a passion for both is a must! This is a role that is challenging but definitely rewarding where you will be wearing multiple hats. You will be the voice and face of our brand. You will grow and lead our community of students and beauty professionals through social media channels (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, and email), student support, webinars and appearance in our courses. The successful candidate will also be highly focused and in charge of various administrative tasks as deemed necessary to support business needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will shift and grow but it will include the following:

  • Build an engaging community with our existing Instagram and Facebook account
  • Brainstorming, filming and editing self-shot videos for our Youtube channel
  • Lead the ?branding? initiatives and how Beauty Boss Academy presents itself online with alignment to the company's vision
  • Consistently brainstorm and develop ideas and strategies to create content for all of our social media accounts as well as analyze gathered data to improve marketing and advertising strategies
  • Assist the team in the production and process of our future courses which includes but not limited to organizing schedules, production assistance, script writing, and more
  • Administrative duties such as but not limited to: purchasing and maintaining office supplies, company files and databases, creating invoices and managing receipts, preparing spreadsheets and other related reports, writing memos and managing correspondences, setting up and confirming schedules of the team, filing documents, preparing presentations, assisting clients or partners by phone, email, and in person communications

Qualifications - not mandatory but nice to have:

  • 1-2 years of Administrative experience or any related position
  • 1-2 years of experience being on camera in any capacity
  • 1-2 years of experience in creating content using various social media platforms
  • Obtained a beauty related certification
  • Obtained a communication related certification
  • Basic video editing skills

We don't believe in a strict list of ?qualifications?. We care more about the passion for the industry and role, the grit you have to learn new challenges, and your ability to work well with others who you can learn from! However, here are some non-negotiables for us:

  • MUST BE comfortable being on camera
  • Can travel at least once a week as needed (Markham office for packing kits, travel to photoshoots, purchasing supplies etc)
  • Willing and looking to learn and grow
  • Able to effectively and efficiently juggle between tasks - you will have set regular duties and additional tasks may change depending on business needs
  • Organized, self motivated, takes initiative, and can work with minimal supervision
  • Passionate about or has a background in the beauty industry (lash extensions are a huge asset!)
  • Good communication skills (customer service and writing background is an asset!)
  • Familiar and comfortable using various social media platforms

LOCATION AND HOURS OF WORK:

  • Mainly remote with travel to the office at least once a week as required
  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
