As a strategic partner to the business, the Talent Acquisition Manager will have a deep understanding of our multifaceted operations, and will specialize in creating and implementing recruitment strategies, building effective relationships and innovative networks inside and outside of our company with the goal of bringing and linking great talent to the right roles at ILAC.

Key areas of responsibilities and accountability:

  • Responsible for defining and driving the company's recruitment strategy, with proactive planning, execution, and managing full cycle recruitment efforts on a national level
  • Lead the identification, development, and expansion of talent pipeline sources and programs as well as strong employer branding activities
  • Build strong meaningful relationships with our hiring managers, acting as a strategic business partner
  • Bring a versatile and innovative approach to identifying and utilizing various channels to effectively attract and bring key talent to the organization
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a continuous talent pipeline, specifically for essential and critical operational and faculty roles
  • Establish effective programs for succession planning and contingency within the organization
  • Develop new initiatives on recruitment programs and efforts
  • Champion and develop a team of highly engaged Recruitment Specialists


  • A college/university degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in progressive Talent Acquisition
  • 2 years in a leadership role with oversight and accountability for a talent acquisition program and team
  • Proven success in full cycle recruitment, implementing process improvements and successfully
  • leading/managing projects in Talent Acquisition
  • Work experience in high volume and fast paced environment with project management and overseeing
  • multiple initiatives; working experience in an education setting is an asset
  • Accountable, highly motivated, self-starter
  • Professional certification (CHRP) is an asset
  • RPR certification is an asset
  • Strong communication and writing skills, excellent organizational skills
  • Effective use, deployment, and implementation of HR technology (HRIS, ATS), dashboards and analytics
  • Sound working knowledge and experience with HR practices and principles including provincial legislation (Human Rights, Employment Standards, AODA, Health and Safety)
  • Strong people management skills with experience in partnering, influencing, coaching, and building credibility with leaders and the HR team
