Reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition, this role will play a critical role in the for advancing the IGM Talent Acquisition strategies to attract and select talent within the IGM Group of Companies (Mackenzie Investments, IG Wealth Management & Investment Planning Counsel). The role consists of enhancing internal processes and systems, leveraging market insight to drive the Talent brand, while partnering closely with senior leadership in the planning, design and execution of innovative organizational growth strategies. The ideal candidate will help to shape an exceptional candidate experience while promoting career growth at the IGM Group of Companies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to business leaders on sourcing and selection criteria
  • Partner with HR leadership and internal communications team in building and evolving a formal talent brand, targeting our critical talent segments, promote careers at IGM through social media platforms, campus and national career events
  • Work closely with HRBP team and the business leaders on strategic workforce planning initiatives from a TA perspective
  • Work with TA team in order to build on business acumen and build strong relationships.
  • Implement operational and best practice workflows to ensure delivery of an exceptional and diverse talent pipeline
  • Leads Talent Acquisition change initiatives and ensures seamless execution across IGM
  • Strategically prioritize and manage our Talent Acquisition resources, goals and budget
  • Oversee the execution of a continued rollout of a new onboarding program to ensure a superior candidate experience across IGM.
  • Define & accountable for key talent acquisition metrics and analytics to guide in the evolution of our strategic workforce planning and best practices
  • Build and lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals
  • Build relationships with third-party partners (vendors, agencies, post-secondary institutions, community groups)
  • Create and manage a centralized agency database to ensure economies of scale, efficiencies and compliance across IGM.
  • Partner with Corporate Operations on understanding contingent workers model and building a future state to include Talent Acquisition as part of the process.
  • Establish and maintain talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitors; provide expertise in market insights, talent landscape and an understanding of talent needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of HR experience, of which approximately 5-7+ years of progressive experience are in talent acquisition and a minimum of 4 year of leading a team
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a full-cycle Talent Acquisition strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (within financial services would be a strong asset).
  • Expertise and comfort in designing processes, workflows, policies and best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree or a diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Proven experience in designing, managing and measuring strategies, including strong execution and change management
  • Strong knowledge of social media and innovative channels to drive messaging and attraction.
  • Strong business acumen accompanied by a strong candidate-centric orientation.
  • Familiarity with Success Factors is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French) is an asset
