Creative Door Services, North America's largest overhead door dealer, operates nine branches across Western Canada and we have over 50 years of experience in the residential and commercial overhead door industry. We provide access solutions by servicing and installing a variety of overhead doors and driveway gate systems, operators and associated controls.


We have an immediate opening for a Residential Inside Sales Representative in our Edmonton branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Residential Inside Sales Representative builds and maintains relationships with our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and job task variety.

Responsibilities :

  • Answering incoming calls
  • Dealing with walk in customers and providing product information
  • Preparing quotes and estimates
  • Following up on all quotes
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Supporting joint sales, marketing and communications related activities
  • Updating and maintaining customer lists
  • Following up on orders and invoicing accordingly
  • Handling warranty claims
  • Supporting the Residential division as needed
  • Participating in and supporting trade shows
  • Prepare PO requests for products with specified suppliers to ensure on time delivery
  • Review supplier order confirmations to ensure correct products have been entered into production and the shipping date is accurate
  • Communicate with the Field Operations department/Install Coordinator for project scheduling
  • Proactively support the CDS safety program and initiatives, comply with all safety policies and procedures and ensure utilization of safe work practices while on site and in the office
  • Maintain positive customer relationships, for CDS, in collaboration with the local Branch Manager and sales team
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communication style with customers and employees in all circumstances
  • Maintain sufficient records to allow future review of all project documentation
  • Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of their work as required
  • In conjunction with the sales team, maintain the quote log for the division
  • Adhere to quote and estimating standards, including forms and processes which drive timeliness, accuracy, ethics and professionalism
  • Ensure all quotes and bids adhere to gross margin expectations for the division
  • Contributing high profile project related information to the Marketing and Communications team for external promotion
  • Acting as a resource for product and project related content for external marketing purposes
  • Being an advocate for customer online reputation management campaigns to drive customer reviews and feedback
  • Provide coverage to various positions in the branch as needed
  • Any duties otherwise directed by the Branch Manager


  • Customer service savvy and above average communication, written and verbal
  • Above average computer skills with working knowledge of MS Outlook (including calendar)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage stress and diffuse difficult situations
  • Superior resourcefulness, integrity, and solid work ethic
  • Very organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Overhead door knowledge would be considered an asset

Qualifications :

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales or related experience
  • Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer
  • Experience managing accounts would be an asset
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and vehicle
