Our flagship product, the dcbel home energy station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop dcbel brand awareness across the earned media channels (targeted press mentions, bloggers, social influencers, etc)
  • Design the media relations playbook and lead the execution of media activities
  • Oversee all media outreach, including product launches, partnerships, and company news
  • Oversee the creation and execution of highly effective, engaging consumer PR strategies
  • Oversee all executive speaking opportunities and panel participation
  • Lead internal interview and speaking training amongst key executives
  • Oversee media relationships with partner agencies.
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for inbound and outbound media activity
  • Maintain an up-to-date media list and create new media relationships
  • Offer media a respected, knowledgeable, timely, day-to-day contact
  • Build PR toolkits to be adapted and leveraged across the globe
  • Monitor and track external communications results
  • Analyze results for trends and areas of opportunity

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or related field to the job
  • 5+ years of relevant Public Relations experience
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong writing and editorial abilities in English.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment and see a project through to completion.
  • Strong work ethic, hands on approach, high attention to detail
