Leader Name: Senior Manager, Marketing

for enabling ATB Wealth Advisors through the strategic development of useful one-to-many tools, templates and processes. As part of the Wealth Squad team with Reputation and Brand, you play a critical role in delivering smart, simple and helpful marketing solutions to team members. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager (Wealth Squad), this role also works closely with other members of the Squad in an agile scrum structure and other Wealth team member leaders and stakeholders representing various areas of the business.

Specific Accountabilities:

Development and execution of field marketing strategy, processes and tools: Works closely with the Wealth Squad, Advisors, Internal Communications and other teams within the Wealth business in order to deliver on ATB's business and brand objectives. This includes development of process and tools to:

  • Provide Wealth Advisors with information, content, guide rails and innovative tools that help them promote relevant solutions and engage with their clients more effectively.
  • Contribute to the identification, scaling and maintenance of marketing capabilities and technology to deliver smart, helpful tools valued and leveraged by front-line sales leaders and team members (ATB Drive, Digital Pitchbook, Marketing on Demand, etc.). Influence awareness & adoption of these tools, enabling a single source of truth for front-line marketing.
  • Provide strategic consulting to sales team members in the area of local community campaigns, marketing and sponsorships. This includes supporting them in identifying and activating on strategic opportunities that will create measurable return against business goals within their market/community.
  • Apply market research and customer insight and experience information to constantly improve upon existing and emerging strategies.
  • Partner with various data groups to monitor results relative to strategies, making adjustments as required and maintaining accountability for variances.
  • Provide marketing expertise and support to the Wealth Squad.

Partners with Brand and Stakeholders

  • Provide field marketing expertise to the Wealth Squad along with key business partners in our sales, sales enablement and customer obsession teams to evolve best in class capability that advances our Story and delivers on business results.

  • Relationship oriented: proactively builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders/ partners.
  • Ensures the performance of various external stakeholders (eg; third-party agencies, media buyers, merchandise providers).
  • Activates cross-organizational stakeholders to successfully implement programs.
  • Creates project alignment; works with internal partners to coordinate our efforts to drive efficiency and success.
  • Proactively seeks and brings forward improvements to marketing related processes.
  • Champion the ATB brand to ensure the Story is inexplicably built into all initiatives and strategies the voice of ATB shines through all initiatives and strategies.
  • Actively follow the market-industry, competitors, economic trends, customers-and apply this know-how to marketing plans, initiatives and creative briefs.
  • Provide responsive customer service by responding to issues, requests and messages in a timely manner, with a 24-hour response expectation.

Requirements

  • Graduate or undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in Marketing.
  • Ability to develop insights (customer/stakeholder, brand, category, environment) and leverage them to bring the ATB Story and the marketing plan to life.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the business needs to play a leading role in achieving business and reputational goals.
  • Live in alignment with the Story and the ATBs and is an expert in delivering an outstanding client experience as a trusted advisor/business partner who is able to collaborate, lead, guide and inspire.
  • Strong foundation of marketing and communication understanding including emerging trends, insights, planning, brand, channels, optimal marketing mix and measurement.
  • Solid depth and breadth of experience in working across media and communication platforms (traditional, digital, social and direct).
  • Proven track record of delivering business and organizational results.
  • Strength in balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing marketing learning that positively fuels marketing strategy, outcomes and leadership.
  • Considered an asset:
  • Financial Services Marketing experience
  • One-to-one marketing experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Experience in video production is considered an asset
