We're looking for a bright, curious, tech-savvy person to create stunning design solutions to help OMERS bring our stories to life. Reporting to the Manager, Content and Design, the Graphic Designer supports a wide range of work across multiple channels - presentations, websites, social media, print and more. You can manage multiple projects from concept to production and engage with our creative team members as needed. Your passion for design, strong work ethic and attention to detail is what will make you succeed. This is a hybrid role, which means you'll have the benefits of collaborating with peers in the office and ability to work from home.

As a member of this team, you will:

Create high quality executive presentations featuring infographics, icons, graphs and other design elements

Design with purpose-understand the content of presentations and utilize best design practices to create layouts for optimal engagement

Create data visualizations and custom illustrations that are clear and easy to understand

Support the creation of compelling visual content for digital channels including the web, social media, company intranet, email, digital signage and event materials

Work on multiple projects concurrently, proactively managing timelines and partners, while maintaining the highest quality of design

Attend creative brief meetings to produce materials that align to and support the delivery of OMERS strategic objectives

Manage design projects from concept development through completion

Understand, foster and ensure consistency of brand identity and standards across all projects and platforms

Advise on new methods, design trends and best practices

Mentor junior designers as part of the Student Design Network program

To succeed in this role, you have:

5+ years of design experience in a corporate communications or agency environment

High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft PowerPoint

Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment

Experience developing design materials and templates to implement consistent concepts across multiple channels

Ability to analyze technical and financial information and create designs to present the data visually

Passion for design, knowledge of current trends/tools and the ability to create unique visual concepts

Strong project management skills, keen attention to detail

Experience with animation and motion design an asset

A sense of humour, collegial approach and passion for helping clients
