This position requires unparalleled commercial skills and a great deal of strategic business acumen. The candidate will have to ensure a leading role in the support and growth of the accounts assigned to him/her in our fine cheese division. He will also be responsible for business development at the Canadian level as well as the optimization of the distribution network in Canada outside of Qc. The candidate will have to establish solid business relationships with his customers and work closely with the team. The position is based in Quebec and you will be required to travel regularly to your clients, mainly located in Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential business opportunities in different markets at the national level with distributors and direct key accounts;
  • Conduct market research in various geographies and identify opportunities for potential new customers;
  • Design a structured business plan that includes detailed strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets;
  • Develop and follow promotional calendars adapted to each of our clients;
  • Keep an optimal update of the various portals of our customers;
  • Be on the lookout for business opportunities for our customers and ensure an excellent level of customer loyalty;
  • Develop work tools and new solicitation approaches to promote our products and services in order to increase sales and profitability of the company;
  • Negotiate commercial agreements;
  • Develop and maintain a personalized business relationship;
  • Carry out close follow-ups with our customers to ensure satisfaction with the quality of the products and services received;
  • Maintain and develop new contact networks;
  • Presence at the various events organized by our customers and partners;
  • Participate in the development of budgets and sales objectives, and ensure their profitability;

 

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in B2B sales, management of major accounts and business development;
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience;
  • Must be passionate about sales and driven by results;
  • Ability to identify opportunities and seize them quickly.
  • Strong experience in developing strategies and business development;
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English / French;
  • Must master commercial negotiation techniques;
  • Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal and commercial relationships with different types of companies;
  • Work organization and priority management;
  • Great adaptability and multitasking;
  • Must demonstrate great autonomy and be proactive;
  • Great mastery of Excel and Powerpoint and the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Access to a car, mobility and availability to make the required trips.
