What does a great Director Sales Executive Director do?

This is an extremely collaborative role between the Partnership Team, Sales and Product. The ideal candidate will have a software engineering background with a keen sense for business strategy and excellent communication and organizational skills. Their primary responsibility will be to build new strategic partnerships with software partners that will process payments through the Clover Connect technology stack.

In this role, you can look forward to:

  • Prospecting and meeting with potential software providers to integrate with our exciting new payment technology platform, Clover Connect
  • Owning and exceeding monthly and annual targets for driving net-new integration revenue
  • Driving a robust software integrator pipeline
  • Identifying successful strategies for target verticals
  • Engaging in on-going business development relationships with key software partners
  • Building strong and effective working relationships with internal sales, product and marketing team members
  • Reviewing and analyzing available data to determine best market opportunities and programs to drive success
  • Building and cultivating prospect relationships by initiating communications with follow up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Working with the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships along with our Head of Inside Sales and the National Sales Manager to develop and grow revenue forecasts
  • Representing the company in a professional and congenial manner in person, on telephone conversations, and in written correspondence (general correspondence, contracts, agreements, and proposals)
  • Tracking progress of ongoing initiatives including strategic plans and goals, or initiatives as determined by the executive leadership team
  • You will be required to remain informed, track, and communicate any innovative technological advancements in the payment integration space

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • High school graduate/GED
  • 5 to 10 years in a product or sales role involving software, ideally for merchant services
  • Demonstrated ability to drive quantifiable business results with strategic direction
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy and how sales processes and models work.
  • Experience with integrated software accepting card-present and/or card-not-present payments
  • Strong professional and social networking presence
  • Solid understanding of payment gateways and payment integrations
  • PCI-DSS and PA-DSS Compliance
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce solutions (e.g., shopping cart technology, hosted checkout, payment links, etc.)
  • High level understanding of HTML5, CSS, JSON, Javascript and RESTful APIs

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing in business administration
  • Working knowledge of networking
  • Understanding of cloud technology
  • Understanding POS technology
  • Understanding of hosted web solutions
  • Working knowledge of popular coding languages
