We're looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to join our growing Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will develop and execute our earned and owned media strategies to drive awareness, affinity, and engagement. You are a PR professional but can think like a journalist. Your writing skills are top-notch, you know how to tell a great story, and you put strategy before tactics.

You Will:

  • Plan and flawlessly execute earned media strategies - build and deepen relationships with key journalists and media partners and secure coverage that reaches our target audiences and builds trust in the brand
  • Build and manage media playbooks and lists, respond to media inquiries, monitor the biotech and pharmaceutical news landscapes and identify public relations opportunities for BenchSci
  • Leverage data-enabled learnings, research, commission, edit and post blogs that are compelling for our target audiences, tapping into BenchSci's incredible reserve of accomplished scientists and engineers
  • Research relevant awards and certificationsCreate an owned media strategy and work with Social Media Manager, Employer Brand Manager, and Internal Communications Manager to enhance the Content Calendar, ensuring alignment with BenchSci's Communications roadmap and Employer Branding strategy
  • Measure, report on, and optimize results: devise and implement measurement plans, track and analyze progress to key performance indicators, and leverage data-enabled learnings
  • Partner with our marketing team to create compelling storytelling that is relevant for target audiences
  • Proactively manage workload, meeting or exceeding KPIs, setting and completing OKRs

You Have:

  • 5+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a SaaS, startup, or biotech environment
  • Excellent writing skills, especially press releases and media briefing docs
  • Experience tracking communications analytics, interpreting value and ROI
  • Reputation for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and building relationships with journalists and publications
  • The drive for excellence and an eye for details

  • Passion for making a positive impact on the world and for science
