ROLE


The role of the Digital Business Analyst is to make sure the project is delivered on time and on scope.  The Digital Business Analyst is the master of project scope, understands what the site / application must do, and is able to explain it to both the development team as well as to the Clients (internal and external).

 

In a typical day, the Digital Business Analyst manages the backlog and the stories and is able to define what the success is in terms of acceptance criteria and test plan feedback. They are able to understand the progress done and what is left to do (both in scope and in effort, and able to capture all of that in a concise and efficient manner in stories, features and epics. 

 

The person we are looking for is special, as we are looking for someone that is technical without being a developer, analytical without going down the rabbit hole, critical in the sense that they are able to catch what is not being said or covered with the scope. We are looking for a great communicator with clients, confident and poised in their presentations, understands project management, the cost of getting things donethe impact of scope creep, and has an agile mindset in an agency environment

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Gather and analyze the client demands and create business requirements with supporting documentation (annotations, design specifications, high-level UX, diagrams)

  • Write the user stories with the help of the team

  • Groom and prioritize the backlog with the clients

  • Managing daily operational tasks and executing support processes or functions

  • Planning and managing the biweekly agile sprints

  • Ensure milestones are met

  • Validate test scenarios

  • Deliver presentations, run workshops, train clients


REQUIREMENTS



  • 3+ years experience as a web analyst and / or PO role and has delivered multiple web projects

  • Experience with eliciting requirements from clients

  • Experience with managing backlogs, writing stories and acceptance criteria

  • Experience with working with development teams

  • Experience with working as a service provider (ie at an agency or similar internal service role)

  • Experience with presenting to client audiences

  • Experience in Azure DevOps Boards, Confluence, JIRA, and Slack or equivalent tools for software development and communication

  • Experience with web Content Management Systems (ie AEM, Sitecore, Drupal, etc)

  • Experience with QA process
