Owl is looking for a passionate and skilled Lead Graphic Designer to join our growing team. To be successful as a Lead Graphic Designer, you should have extensive up-to-date knowledge of graphic design, styles and techniques. You should be comfortable leading and presenting design work to stakeholders and expressing the reasoning behind design decisions. You should also have an eye and passion for sophisticated design, you love solving problems and telling stories, working in a dynamic environment, have superior attention to detail and are committed to work closely with a collaborative, fast-paced group of amazing people.

What you will do

  • Responsible for coming up with high level creative strategy and fresh design concepts
  • Using your amazing creative skills to help the team reach new clients, and engage current ones
  • Working with the leadership to define goals, objectives, and initiatives
  • Working hands-on to create beautifully executed marketing and brand materials
  • Assisting in scoping out the timeline and requirements of design engagements
  • Establishing style guides, best practices, and values to align the entire process
  • Working with UX team to develop beautiful and easy to understand assets for our platform
  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements
  • Collaborating with the Development team and ensuring designs are interpreted correctly
  • Ability to juggle admin tasks associated with leading a creative team as well as design work
  • Fostering an open, collaborative, and inclusive environment all team members


  • 3+ years in a creative Designer role
  • Strong ability to create compelling graphics and illustrations.
  • Working experience with image design tools and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, etc)
  • Highly organised and process driven
  • Has finger on the pulse for emerging trends
  • Experience managing other designers and providing feedback
  • Experience with branding process and brand design
  • A strong portfolio of design work that you either created yourself or worked as part of a team
  • A passion for solving problems while wearing multiple hats and owning all facets of the process (research, branding exercises, messaging strategy, art direction, and hands-on design)
  • The desire to drive creative by developing an end-to-end process
  • The drive to work hands-on, not just give direction
  • Strong team communication and problem solving skills
  • Print and digital design work and experience
  • Social media savvy, creating compelling creative content that are impactful
  • Web and UI design experience
  • Experience in copywriting is an asset
