Senior Marketing Events Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Here's your opportunity! As Senior Marketing Events Coordinator, you will take the lead on planning, management and execution of all major conferences, tradeshows and related events across Canada. You'll collaborate closely with the Canadian marketing, sales and business development teams as well as corporate marketing and vendors to achieve organizational goals and objectives and ensure timely delivery within budget.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of Axis-hosted in-person and virtual events across Canada
  • Lead and manage all aspects of Axis' presence and/or sponsorships at industry conferences, tradeshows and events across Canada
  • Manage security/surveillance industry and segment industry association memberships and sponsorships
  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders and external vendors to:
  • identify objectives, key messaging and communication strategy
  • manage expectations and set timeframes
  • negotiate contracts and MOUs
  • develop and execute marketing and communications plans
  • providing ad-hoc support and regular updates
  • Work with the Canadian Marketing Coordinator, to manage event leads and follow-up/nurturing processes
  • Establish event benchmarks, provide relevant reporting and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Effectively manage and reconcile event budget
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships, acting as a point of contact
  • Maintain and update tradeshow booths, table-top displays and equipment as required, liaising with vendors
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries and requests from department's events inbox
  • Provide departmental ad hoc support as required

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Event Management or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience event coordination or event management experience

Valued, but not essential

  • Certified Meeting Planner certification
  • VEMM certification
  • Proficiency in email marketing automation tools (such as Pardot)
  • Fluent in French (written and verbal)
