As our Internal Communications Manager, you will take on the role of an internal brand journalist committed to finding, creating, and sharing stories to educate, motivate, connect, and inspire our people. In this new role, reporting to the SVP People and Culture and working closely with our Marketing team, you will lead the design and delivery of a dedicated Internal Communications strategy and function. Your priorities will be to partner with all areas of the business to identify communication needs, establish effective processes, support the communication needs of critical change management initiatives, and ensure that communication flows up, down and across the organization. Externally, you will partner with our marketing team to deliver a compelling employer brand.
Through a blend of writing, photography, videography and design, you will create clear and compelling messages, and find innovative ways to deliver them to foster a superior employee experience, build business awareness, support change adoption and champion the Nicola Wealth culture and values.
Build and deliver on an internal communications strategy than informs and connects our people and fosters our culture.
Lead the development of the Nicola Wealth employer brand.
Create specific communications action plans that support the communication of internal messages helping Nicola Wealth shape culture, drive engagement, manage change, and deliver results.
Create solutions that capture the voice of our people and continue to foster our culture as we grow.
Advise on the design and manage a new SharePoint based internal communications platform.
Ensure internal messages are communicated to our people in a clear, timely and effective manner, using a high impact writing style and format.
Lead the internal communications requirements on all M&A projects in partnership with the Marketing team.
Collaborate with our business transformation project leads to support change management communications.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate employee communications content into overall company goals and messaging.
Plan, promote and manage employee events including business presentations, townhalls and focus groups.
Manage internal communication response to crisis situations that may impact organizational perception and reputation.
Write, edit, and produce communications for internal audiences including but not limited to presentations, scripts, briefing documents, intranet articles, and employee communications, messages, and emails.
Review and edit communications drafted by internal stakeholders and make recommendations to ensure messaging is consistent with internal strategy and tone.
Support social media communications to deliver a strong employee value proposition and maximize our employment brand.
Lead the preparation and submission of employer award applications.
Continually improve, measure, and evaluate effectiveness of our employee communications strategy and methods.

Your Experience and Qualifications Include:
A post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism or related field, and 7+ years experience in internal/corporate/employee communications.
Experience leading the communication needs of change projects.
Demonstrated experience with multiple forms of communications technologies and approaches.
Expert proficiency with MS Office Applications. Proficiency with MS Teams and O365 is an asset.
An awareness of enterprise risk factors and the need to ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, legislation internal policies and procedures.
