We have an outstanding opportunity for a student interested in sales and marketing to be involved in this exciting industry supporting our Portfolio Strategy and EV readiness teams! In this role, you will gain foundational knowledge of what's it's like to work in a winning marketing organization, learn alongside experienced professionals, and interact with various partners to better understand the business and opportunities at GM.

(Currently, COVID-19 protocols are in place with adjustments to meeting and activity norms for safety which may alter some of the responsibilities below)

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Strategy and Portfolio Planning Manager, you will support in the following areas:

Support new and existing promotions/programs for GM Canada EV Buyers

Assist in the development of EV research for analysis and leadership reviews

Research and analyze EV Incentives in Canada

Support the development of new analytical tools for GM Canada with focus on EVs

Support a small group of Portfolio Strategy and EV Readiness team members

Assist with the planning and execution of Portfolio Strategy and EV Readiness meetings

Cross-Collaborate with internal stakeholders including: Marketing, Strategy, Leadership, etc

You may also have the opportunity to own a project from start to finish which will be dependent on your interest and business needs


Required Qualifications

En rolled in a Business/Marketing, or Engineering Degree program, and in your 3rd year of study

Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week), and for 8 or 12-month term (2-3 consecutive semesters, longer preferred) starting September 2021

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative and move things forward

Highly adaptable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Fundamental digital literacy including proven understanding of MS Word and PowerPoint, with a special focus on Excel

Able and willing to conduct work from home while COVID-19 protocols are in place, and the majority of term there after

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in PowerBI an asset
