The Director of Enrolment & Marketing is the strategic leader for the Enrolment department, setting direction and providing oversight to the deliverables and activities of the Enrolment team in alignment with and pursuit of the Enrolment plan. This role manages the team as they promote a positive, compelling image of the College while focusing on the recruitment and retention of students both on and off-campus. The Director of Enrolment & Marketing is an important contributor to the College's Senior Leadership Team and works collaboratively with others across campus and in the College's broader community in the fulfillment of this directive.
Essential Job Functions
Key responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
I. Through collaboration with the College President, lead the strategic thinking, planning and execution by:
1. Contributing to the thinking, planning, decision-making and execution of the College's Enrolment plan.
2. Providing a fact base and appropriate analytics to support strategic and key operational admissions/Enrolment management decisions and investments.
3. Continuing the development of a comprehensive admissions plan designed to broaden the base of students, incorporating learning from market trends, demographics and other related information.
4. Providing leadership to the execution of the strategies and tactics associated with the Enrolment management/admissions function.
5. Set annual Enrolment targets with the President and key stakeholders including the Principal, Director of Hockey, and High School Programming leaders.
6. Collaborating with other departments (i.e. Academics, Hockey, Boarding, Development, etc.) in regards to retention and the College's ?targeted' recruitment initiative.
7. Developing the recruitment and retention plans and activity schedule to deliver on the expected results; emphasize growth of international and out-of-province student segments as well as the Regina and Saskatchewan markets.
8. Liaising with member educational associations
- CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools), TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools), Historical High Schools of Saskatchewan, etc.
9. Being an active participant in the CAIS Boarding Project which requires collaborating and networking with the Admissions Directors from the CAIS schools and the CAIS administrative office.
10. Monitoring and managing an assigned budget, including future planning and forecasting.
11. Measuring and reporting to the Leadership Team and President Enrolment results achieved by the team.
II. Provide leadership to the Enrolment team by:
1. Establishing a positive, engaged, accountable, results-focused team environment.
2. Overseeing all admission functions, providing direction, guidance, coordination, supervision and support of Enrolment team members.
3. Managing and administering all necessary human resource record-keeping for the Enrolment department (i.e. performance evaluations, mid-year review, vacation day/sick day tracking etc.).
4. Executing through frequent, planned travel presentations focused on the recruitment of new students at international and national educational fairs and other events as appropriate.
5. Coordinating the use of Notre Dame Ambassadors (i.e., current students and parents, past parents, staff, alumni etc.) for recruiting purposes.
6. Building on the existing agent network to create opportunities for International student connections; collaborating with and maintaining contacts with family agents.
7. Developing and coordinating policies for the Enrolment department in consultation with the Human Resources department.
8. Establishing an annual cycle for Enrolment management activities and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for all Enrolment team members (and other critical players) to activities and deliverables within the annual cycle.
9. Collaborating with the Retention specialist, National Recruitment Officer, International Recruitment Officer, Registrar and the Data Specialist ensuring communication with parents/guardians of both new applicants and re-registration of current students.
10. Collaborating with the Registrar to ensure effective decision-making pertaining to financial aid and awards and that students, their families and relevant agencies (i.e., schools and immigration) are fully informed in a timely, constructive manner.
11. Ensure campus tours for prospective students and their parents/guardians are appropriately delegated to the admissions staff.
12. Ensuring the Enrolment team has a presence at on-campus camps and show-cases.
13. Working with vendors in regards to the campus day visit promotion and student rewards initiatives.
14. Collaborating with the Director of Development and third parties (i.e., One Life Makes a Difference Foundation) that assist the College with the Enrolment of students of necessity.
15. Implementing and managing a lead tracking system to track and monitor sales performance.
III. Contribute to key marketing and communications deliverables by:
1. Providing the necessary details for Marketing deliverables in collaboration with the Communication & Development Officer on all internal and external communications and publications (i.e., NewsHound, Handbook, Viewbook, Social Media, Web Pages, etc.).
2. Contributing content for online and offline marketing and advertising.
3. Writing and editing content for all College brochures, publications and presentations including special requests from management.
IV. Contributing as a member of the College's Senior Leadership Team by:
1. Reporting directly to the President and providing strategic input and development.
2. When required, attend Board of Regents meetings and work in concert with the Board and/or Board Committee Members providing Enrolment updates and reports.
3. Providing Enrolment reporting to the Board of Regents for each Board Meeting.
4. Supporting organizational culture, encouraging and valuing passion, accountability and enthusiasm.
5. Attending student (award evenings, graduations, concerts, etc.), College, Alumni, Junior A Hockey, and public events as appropriate.
6. Attending to any special assignment mutually agreed upon with the President.
7. Participating in any interviews of prospective staff members as requested by the President.
8. Taking the initiative to participate in professional development opportunities provided by the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools or any other similar organizations such as the Independent Schools Advancement Professionals of Canada, Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education and Association of Fundraising Professionals.

This job operates in a professional office environment. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening, weekend and summer work will be required as job duties demand to support departmental needs, Board meetings and other Notre Dame events. This role will require some domestic and international travel. You will be required to participate in public speaking during staff meetings, board meetings and Notre Dame functions/events. Due to the nature of this position and the demand to meet student Enrolment targets, this position can be high pressure at times. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop/computers, internet/intranet systems, various programs such as Zoom & Teams, photocopiers, telephone and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone. The ideal candidate in this position will possess:
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Must have experience managing the recruitment/admissions process in a school setting; with at least 5 years experience in an admissions function.
- Must have at least 5 years of leadership, management or supervisory experience.
- Boarding School experience is considered an asset
- Familiarity with educational database programs
- Blackbaud and Raisers Edge.
- Independent School background would be of value.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Display a commitment to Notre Dame's Catholic nature, philosophy, principles, mission, history and strategic plan.
- A willingness to interact with the student body in a positive manner (i.e. coaching, student clubs, etc.)
