Reporting into the Director, Marketing Campaigns & Strategic Initiatives, you will be responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing programs across the three pillars of Shoppers Drug Mart: Health, Beauty and Convenience. The Specialist, Marketing demonstrates the passion required to champion and build our world class brands, programs and services. What You'll Do

  • Support the Director, Marketing Campaigns & Strategic Initiatives, in the flawless development and implementation of consumer-centric cross-category marketing campaigns to help drive brand health and affinity.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Category Management and National Operations partners, supporting marketing strategies to help achieve sales growth of SDM Front Store business.
  • Collaborate with Centre of Excellence teams (Creative Content & Social, In-store, Digital, Media, Flyer and Translation teams) to ensure deliverables are developed to plan and align with overall marketing strategies and objectives, all within timelines.
  • Proactively own the development of executional briefs and any required process documents within internal timelines.
  • Thoroughly oversee and manage project work streams including project management and follow-ups, accounting and budget reconciliation, store communications, legal approvals, trademark clearances, flyer programs, store event management and operational execution.
  • Anticipate project collisions/hurdles and proactively trouble-shoot by working with partners to identify and implement tangible solutions.
  • Develop and manage detailed workback schedule(s) to ensure successful rollout of all plans, adhering to timelines.
  • Review all creative and copy decks to ensure accurate adherence to brand guidelines and integration of marketing message across multiple consumer touchpoints. Obtain all necessary approvals from internal stakeholders as needed including Director and Manager, Marketing, Legal, Business Analytics, Operations, etc.
  • Lead the creation of all offers associated with promotions including offer and event set-up through required systems such as CPMS. Review all offer components for accuracy and alignment with Merchandising and Category Management teams.
  • Assist in the development of shopper marketing presentations by gathering assets and information.
  • Work with vendors to ensure project creative deliverables adhere to internal guidelines and are provided based on process timelines.
  • Rectify inquiries from stores/customer service related to program execution.
  • Lead the development and upkeep of vendor billings and cost summary reports, ensuring timely and accurate billings are executed.
  • Support the execution of additional special marketing projects as required.
  • Proactively work on the improvement of plans, ideas and processes that contribute to the marketing team's success.
  • Demonstrates and upholds a thorough understanding of brand guardrails across all initiatives.
  • Ensure organization and accessibility of marketing documents, assets and approvals to meet Compliance requirements.
  • Manage meeting agendas and own the development and issuance of actionable meeting reports.
  • Manage individual status documents.
  • Develop well informed ?points of view' documents and ability to build a narrative to influence stakeholders.
  • Contribution to achievement of individual and business KPI's.

  • Experience working with and gaining alignment from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with budget management and costs negotiations.
  • Experience working with agencies and/or in-house creative teams.
