GM Canada's sales success continues to grow with Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. We are delivering what Canadians are looking for, setting new records with our brands, and building on our sales momentum! Want to be part of it?

Our Western Regional office, located in Calgary, is the home base of over 40 sales, service, and marketing professionals in Canada.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a student interested in sales and marketing to be involved in this exciting industry at the front lines, interacting regularly with our field of sales managers, dealers, and agency partners! In this role, you will gain foundational knowledge of what's it's like to work in a winning organization, and learn alongside experienced professionals.

As a valuable member of the regional sales team, you will attend a variety of meetings with internal and external partners, and have the chance to job shadow District Managers in the field to better understand the business and opportunities at GM.

(Currently, COVID-19 protocols are in place with adjustments to meeting and activity norms for safety which may alter some of the responsibilities below)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will support the region, in the following areas:

Assist in the coordination of local marketing events, working in close collaboration with the marketing teams and agencies

Support a small group of regional staff including administrators and department heads

Assist in reporting and other sales communications

Assist in Data Analysis to find market opportunities, optimize vehicle options, and packaging

Assist with the planning and execution of Regional Marketing Association meetings

You may have the opportunity to own a project from start to finish which will be dependent on your interest and business needs

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Qualifications

Enrolled in a Business, Finance, or Marketing Degree program, and in your 3rd or 4th year of study

Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada, and for 8 or 12 month work term (2-3 consecutive semesters) starting September 2021

In possession of a valid Canadian full, non-GDL Class driver's licence (Class 5 in Alberta, Class G in Ontario, or equivalent out-of-province licence)!

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Robust organizational skill; can orchestrate multiple activities at once

Self-motivated with proven track record to take initiative and move things forward

Highly adaptable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Fundamental digital literacy including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Able and willing to conduct work from home while COVID-19 protocols are in place

Preferred Qualifications

Willingness to travel and relocate across Canada should full-time opportunities be offered
