We are looking for an experienced Online Editor to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys to work collaboratively to assemble final picture edits with dialogue, sound effects and music according to required specifications all while keeping an eye out for animation errors, continuity problems and camera positioning.

  • Import and edit in final shots on episodes in production
  • Responsible for quality control and ensuring that fixes are addressed in a timely manner
  • Assist directors with day-to-day production needs
  • Update and maintain an organized layout for all incoming content and source material for editorial purposes
  • Maintain the episode reuse shot lists
  • Manage editorial project/bins/media files efficiently
  • Participate in post meetings and adjust/refine work as indicated by post production supervisor
  • Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues
  • Edit final picture shots / sequences if requested by Production and Post-production Supervisor
  • Export and deliver multiple file types according to predetermined schedules and delivery specs, dealing with a variety of file formats and codecs
  • Ensure QC checks are completed on all exports so that they meet specified internal and external delivery requirements
  • Check deliveries from partner studios for technical and QC errors and deliver subclips to them as needed
  • Assist in making dubs and output requirements, as required
  • Report progress and any concerns to Post-production Supervisor
  • Aid in keeping production deliveries on target by collaborating with the Production Team and Directing Team to achieve timely delivery of animatics
  • Work alongside Directors and Producers to address internal and external creative and technical notes, making revisions as requested in an iterative workflow
  • Ensure animatics are in line with production parameters (assumptions) for animation and lighting/comp (i.e flag use of unexpected complex camera moves, liquids, flowing fabric, hair, effects, etc.)
  • Manage Avid projects/timelines/bins/media files efficiently on Avid Nexus server
  • Delegate editorial tasks to Editor(s) and Assistant Editor(s) and monitor timely completion of such tasks
  • Assist Production Team/Series Director/Episodic Directors in show archiving process
  • And any other duties as assigned by Manager or Producers


  • 2-3 years of editorial experience (understanding of 2D/3D animation required)
  • Strong understanding of post procedures, production and workflow
  • Strong understanding of Avid Media Composer software is a must
  • Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop basics preferred
  • Shotgun Software experience is nice to have
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong editorial skills both technically and creatively
  • Basic understanding of the needs of the Story, Previsualization, Animation, FX, Lighting and Compositing departments
  • Understanding of geometry, camera positioning, and the ability to provide alternative solutions when scenes/sequences aren't working so well
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Creative and proactive problem solving skills with the ability to implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently

  • An online portfolio showcasing numerous examples of recent work

  • Avid Media Composer 2020
  • Experience working on a CG animated series
  • Animated Series experience/Series experience+
