POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience, the Graphic Designer manages Miovision's visual brand for all market-facing collateral, material, and documentation, from initial concept to final execution. This role collaborates with the marketing and product marketing team, as well as external and internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Executive Leadership) on design requirements for campaigns. Graphics created by the designer should capture the attention of those who see them and clearly communicate Miovision's scaling brand and products to the targeted community. As such, this individual is required to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into various design solutions.

As a conceptual thinker, the Graphic Designer can translate ideas into original, innovative and effective design solutions for B2B marketing. They will represent the creative team in cross-functional meetings as the visual communication design expert. This includes being a part of the initial brainstorming and planning for campaigns, breaking down requirements into various solutions and handing off campaign design deliverables. While executing deliverables, it is important to drive brand consistency and creative expression of Miovision's brand!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Define, grow, and execute Miovision's visual identity across a wide range of media
  • including print, digital media, web, and trade show design
  • for all internal and public communications
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing Managers and Sales specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand solutions in various deliverables (Web, digital, video, photography, print, trade show booths etc.), while managing multiple campaign work
  • Ensure company collateral is updated and maintained
  • including translation for these documents
  • Create design assets to assist in processes for scaling to help with company growth. (Ie, Templating documents, ppc ads, powerpoints etc.)
  • Continuous research in further developing our brand in different media (Digital, Print, Video, Photography, Web etc.)
  • Update Brand guidelines to ensure consistency across the company
  • Collaborate with and provide creative leadership to external advertising, web development, and brand creative agencies
  • Ensure brand compliance with AODA Standards and meeting AA minimum requirements
  • Research and develop Miovision's brand style on all platforms/deliverables

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience evaluating and building design solutions that facilitate scalability, and drive design requirements through customer focused solutions
  • Familiarity with and passion for online visual media environment, design trends, and the tech industry
  • Experience innovating upon existing brand standards and style guides
  • Experience designing graphics for live content production, marketing campaigns, sales materials and trade shows
  • Understanding of video landscape and current software innovations to streamline production process
  • Experience working directly with suppliers to execute printed material while managing deadlines and budget costs
  • Experience maintaining archives and visual assets for current and future projects
  • Knowledge of photography principles, video, animation, and composition awareness

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years' experience in Graphic Design
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design
  • Strong design portfolio that includes a variety of work and formats, that expresses knowledge in typography, layout, colour theory and other design principles (Digital, Print and Presentations)
  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Demonstrated ability to tell stories and communicate concepts/ideas with easy-to-understand visuals internally and to clients.
  • Experience working with presentation templates
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
