We seek a highly a motivated individual with experience and a passion for blogging, micro-blogging and community participation leadership. This position is full time salaried with benefits.

We are a shapewear manufacturer located in Montreal with a national reputation for quality products and workplace excellence. We promote our website by integrated organic optimization (SEO), social media optimization (SMO) and paid placement (PPC).

Responsibilities:
- Monitor online conversations and participate in them to build brand visibility and thought leadership, as well as identifying and communicating any threats to the brand
- Author blog posts, articles, podcasts, videos and screencasts to creatively communicate product uses
- Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends in customer requests & product performance
- Note frequently asked questions
- Establish metrics & report on them on a monthly basis including recommendations
- Identify & engage advocates
- Proactively escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights to the executive team
- Creatively and proactively assist customers, in addition to transfering information to the appropriate departments to respond accordingly
- Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that the company can continue to be an early adopter of these technologies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; 2-3 years work experience
- Net savvy (addicted to social networking sites & all things Web 2.0); someone who understands the social media universe including Facebook, YouTube, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, Reddit, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (i.e. basic keyword research) in order to name and tag posts based on research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
- Able to personally connect with customers to humanize the company and provide feedback to many departments internally (development, PR, marketing, customer service, tech support, etc)
- An independent, hard working multi-tasker empowered to make decisions
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Fully bilingual – English & French
