A fast growing analytics-driven marketing firm in Montreal is seeking a fully bilingual managing editor/communications director.
The managing editor will manage a team of copywriters and oversee website, newsletter and blog content creation, press releases and SEO campaigns for a wide range of schools and companies. The successful applicant will also be responsible for developing and maintaining French communications and content creation. To that end, the managing editor must be comfortable writing and editing in both English and French.
Responsibilities for the managing editor/communications director include: • Developing and writing blog stories and themes • Assigning and overseeing content creation by a team of freelance and in-house copywriters and translators • Editing articles, blog posts and press releases • Developing, writing and editing company’s French blog and communications • Overseeing article marketing and syndication process on numerous article syndication sites • Managing SEO campaigns and improvements (including keyword-rich website text, titles and meta descriptions)
The ideal candidate will have a journalism or literature education/background with a working knowledge of Google Analytics and search engine optimization.
