Under the supervision of the Vice-President, Strategic Development, the incumbent will entail identifying, qualifying and closing business opportunities through relationship building. The Sales Associate, Business Development must have the ability to generate leads, set appointments and present company services.
Roles and Responsibilities
Learn and be familiar with company products and services as well as organisational goals, strategies and objectives;
Develop leads, set up appointments, and make sales presentations to potential and existing customers by identifying opportunities within each account;
Ensure a smooth transition from new business from sales to account management;
Actively identify customer needs and ensure profitable solution-based selling to increase revenues and create value added customer relationships;
Work with Client Relations to identify and follow all customer complaints, concerns or issues through to successful resolution and continued contract renewals;
Completes assigned sales reports in accurate and timely manner;
Represents company promotes products and services through trade shows and other promotional opportunities;
Consistently achieves proven and sustained sales results;
Effectively communicates at all organizational levels;
Actively identifies new opportunities and responds to RFP’s (Request For Proposal) in collaboration with the management team;
Protect company proprietary and confidential information in accordance with organisational confidentiality policies and procedures;
Other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business, finance, economics or related field preferred;
One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in the field of information technology or contact center environment;
At least two (2) years’ experience in sales and lead generation;
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision;
Experience in developing and executing tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives;
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
A strong customer focus commitment to delivering quality solutions and maintaining effective customer relationships;
Demonstrates motivation for achieving objectives with a commitment to continuous improvement;
Proven and sustained sales track record;
Resilient -- handles stress and rejection without reaction;
Excellent negotiation skill to secure and close deals;
Exceptional presentation skills, written and verbal skills and equal strong listening skills;
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
