Role Overview:

You are a customer focused individual interested in managing a young and dynamic sales team focused on leveraging an industry leading digital brand in the travel industry.

You are a proponent of leveraging product knowledge with superior customer service, focusing on optimizing the customer experience and encouraging recurrent purchase behavior. You are comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities focused on training, coaching, and motivating a sales team towards desired behaviors and results. You will ensure consistency with respect to our internal sales processes for current and newly hired Villa Specialists, with an emphasis on file management, product destination knowledge, selling techniques and quality control. Contributions towards the development, improvement, and tracking of key performance indicators will also be expected.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Sales and interact with various departments within the organization. He/ she will work directly with an inside sales force that interacts with customers over the phone and through email communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Sales team has the required training, qualifications and work environment to allow them to succeed.
• Actively develop and deliver Sales Training, on a regular basis with the Sales team in classroom type settings.
• Daily coaching with sales team members to help guide, motivate and mentor stronger team members.
• Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers in all destinations.
• Develop extensive product knowledge in key revenue driving destinations.
• Act as the 1st level of support with respect to educating and guiding our Villa Specialists regarding our process, our product, cancellation insurance, system troubleshooting, and in particular guest needs.
• Act as a liaison between sales and all other LRI departments, as well as suppliers and clients.
• Monitor and drive operational key performance indicators. These include, but are not limited to: daily file management, daily email and phone activity, proactive selling to our repeat database.
• Help create and maintain a dynamic work environment for the sales team.

Key Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; travel related diploma considered an asset.
• 3-5 years experience in sales management required inclusive of team leadership responsibilities including performance management; sales and-or service industry experience strongly desired. Inside sales team management preferred.
• Experience with delivering sales training is preferred.
• Sound computer proficiency and strength with MS office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish) considered a strong asset with preference given to trilingual skills.
• Proven organizational skills which are reflected in effective prioritizing, multitasking, follow-up and ultimate delivery upon commitments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adept at asking questions and actively listening.
• Dynamic character with passion and persistence to motivate others.
• Professional demeanor, maturity, and natural business acumen; and an exceptionally high level of customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff, and externally present a professional and positive image.
