The Website Solutions Product Manager will join a growing team that is defining the space for Small and Medium Sized Businesses (SMB) in Canada. He or she will bring first hand knowledge of Website creation and Web Marketing along with small business marketing acumen.
The Website Solutions Product Manager participates in implementing the strategy, development, launch and metrics of the advertiser Website Solutions. This position requires the unique ability to liaise between technical, operations and marketing groups. You must be able to envision comprehensive solutions, research and validate your ideas in line with the corporate vision - in the form of well written requirements, use cases and design.
The ideal candidate will have direct, hands on experience with Website Solutions and a proven ability to manage emerging products through introduction and growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Analyze market conditions and advertiser readiness to identify new business opportunities to further develop our portfolioand recommend alternative solutions.
Participates in establishing the roadmap for your product portfolio with the intent to better serve advertisers in key headings, increase revenues and maintain/improve our advertiser’s experience.
2. Propose business cases and develop detailed product requirement documents for all projects within your portfolio.
Work closely with business units, such as operations, client services, ISIT, and other marketing groups to understand the business direction and how your products can be positioned to help achieve these goals.
Develop and grow a partnership relationship with engineering and production teams (internal and external) to ensure projects are developed on time, in scope and within budget.
3. Responsible to monitor and track product performance according to revenue targets, user feedback and customer needs.
Ability to explain market trends, product lifecycle changes and competitive data that affect revenue results. Adjust product solutions, if required, in order to meet revenue targets.
4. Participate and help set the strategic marketing direction and roadmap for the website product development team.
Education, Experience and Technical skills
•5 years of product management experience in a web-based environment. •Bachelor degree in business or marketing. •Proven track record of successful product launches and management. •Solid understanding of marketing research concept, web trends and benchmarking •Strong understanding of financial tools to initiate business cases. •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. (French and English) •Use of tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word should be second nature.
